Musical hits, Easter mood and a little bit of snow 11.04.2025 - Michal Sedlák vložil article 11.04.2025 08:23 The spring holidays are fast approaching. Passion Week already begins this Palm Sunday. In many places you will see Easter creations. But you can also go for great musical experiences, culinary history and, of course, a nice trip to the countryside. The Šumperk Museum is currently hosting an exhibition about Easter. Believe that among the well-known Easter customs and symbols you will discover those that have fallen into oblivion. You can visit a very unusual exhibition thematically connected with Easter in the Krnov Museum for a few more days. It is called The Playful World of Surprise Eggs and presents part of a huge collection of kinder egg figurines that its owner has been collecting for over thirty-five years. You can take part in the knitting of pomlazka, making Easter decorations and wreaths from birch wicker on Saturday in the Rapotín cultural centre. At the Třemešek Castle, Easter creations, games and talks about the spring holidays have been prepared for Sunday. On Palm Sunday, the mountain resort Paprsek has also prepared a cool Easter afternoon. The Easter menu is a bonus there. If you really have a sweet tooth and are no stranger to a love of history, visit the unique exhibition On the Art of Cooking in Krnov. There you will get acquainted with a cookbook printed five hundred years ago or the oldest ever Czech printed cookbook from the pen of a Renaissance alchemist. And maybe you'll take home an ancient recipe. If you're more inclined to geography and cartography than to cookbooks, you might be interested in the exhibition at the Museum of Roads in Vikýřovice. It deals with the oldest maps of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. There you can marvel at the perfection and precision of maps from the early modern period to the 19th century. And finally, to the promised musical highlights: already on Friday, one of the most sought-after domestic musicians of today , Sofian Medjmedj, will perform in the legendary Kofola Music Bar in Krnov. On Saturday, the winner of two Angels, pianist, singer, composer, teacher, simply one of the most outstanding musicians of today - Beata Hlavenková- will arrive in the charming Art Nouveau Tančíreň. Mamutík's amusement parks in Lower Moravia have also been open since Saturday. More precisely: at a reduced price without the Sand World and water elements. Don't forget that they also have a cool playground in Loučná nad Desnou at the local Tančírna or Praděd's Children's Museum in Bludov. You can get out in the air like the most ardent cross-country skiing enthusiast in the Praděd track. The track was modified during the week and may be modified for the weekend too, so for the most up-to-date info check jdemenabezky.cz or follow FB Běžky na Pradědu. Otherwise, with the coming Easter holidays, we highly recommend a trip to the beautiful Andělarium in Rejchartice, an open-air gallery that will freeze you with its genius loci.
