Did you really want to go to the sea this year or was there another special place in your sights? A true traveller and adventurer is ready to tackle any situation. So accept the challenge and explore the Jeseníky Mountains and their neighbouring mountains. And rest assured that you will discover extraordinary sights that will inspire admiration beyond the borders.

Did you know that the spa in Jeseník is the cradle of modern hydrotherapy? We can safely say that the founder of the spa, Vincenz Priessnitz, is the guru of world hydrotherapy. In the previous century, kings, members of European noble families, artists and doctors from the entire old continent travelled to the Silesian Jeseník to meet the water doctor, as he was called during his lifetime. Today, be inspired by Priessnitz's legacy in Jeseník. Try the centuries-tested Priessnitz half-bath in the spa with its magnificent mountain views, refresh yourself in the unique balneopark, or wander around the springs in the surroundings.

The system of springs above the spa and the town is another great rarity. There are over sixty springs, monuments, viewpoints, memorial rocks and crosses in the local landscape and you can discover them on themed hiking trails.

And the list of unique attractions in this locality certainly does not end here. Ten years ago, the old hunting trails in this part of Rychleby were revived and the first trails were created. Today, the Rychleby trails are a respected and appreciated location, which is used as a basis for building routes all over the world.

In addition to bikers, bouldering enthusiasts also love the area around Granite Hill. Few of you may know that the Rychlebské bouldering trails are the first such area in Central Europe with a well-mapped and elaborate information structure. In close connection with the Rychlebské Trails bike trails, they form a unique arena in the world.

In Lower Moravia, on the ridges of Králický Sněžník, visit the unique lookout tower. The trail in the clouds, exceptional in its construction, is designed to resemble the flight of a night butterfly. The unusual construction hides a 750-metre long route, a net at the top into which the bravest can lie down, a net tunnel between floors and a 100-metre slide. The dominant feature of the local Mammoth Water World is the 13-metre mammoth, which is the largest model of this prehistoric animal in the world. In its bowels are a playroom, a rope chimney, a climbing wall and a 24-metre water slide in its trunk.

Another Jeseník rarity is the Dlouhé stráně power station. Its location at the site of a "cut" mountain peak, its unique parameters and the history of its construction attract tens of thousands of tourists to it every year. And not only to its upper reservoir, which can be reached by bus or cable car, but also to its underground spaces.

In the eastern part of the Jeseníky Mountains, the oldest narrow-gauge railway in Europe operates. A ride on a narrow-gauge train between Třemešná in Silesia and Osoblaha is an unusual experience not only for children. In Velke Losiny, on the other hand, one of Europe's oldest paper manufactories operates. The oldest documented caves in Central Europe are considered to be the Na Špičák Caves, in whose passages unique alchemical symbols have been preserved.

We could also mention plants and animals that do not live anywhere else in the world, only in our Jeseníky Mountains. But we will mention these rare inhabitants of the mountains some other time. We wish you an enriching discovery...
