Jeseníky Easter. Go to the castle and the bike park 19.04.2025 - Tomáš Rak vložil article 19.04.2025 09:11 The long Easter weekend is here. And it's literally packed with offerings. Monuments and adrenaline bike parks are opening their imaginary gates. Easter traditions, costumed tours and gourmet experiences await you across the Jeseníky Mountains. Just take your pick. Festively decorated and often after the winter doldrums, many of our landmarks welcome you. At Sovinec Castle, you will find yourself flat-footed in a medieval frenzy of life all Easter long. The perches will be dancing around, the juggler will be cackling, the falconers will be showing off their birds of prey. And believe me, you'll even witness a mêlée with swords drawn. A quieter atmosphere has been prepared for Good Friday at Hošťálkovy Castle. In addition to guided tours, there will be a small fair, gold panning, and even a carousel. On Jánský Vrch in Javorník you can taste some Easter specialties, take away an Easter castle stamp or go on an egg hunt in the French garden. In addition, there is an Easter quiz game in the castle park. Of course, Velké Losiny, Slezské Rudoltice and the lesser-known Dívčí Hrad castle also offer their gates and Easter themes. Easter is also celebrated in the Velkolosin handmade paper mill and the nearby Rapotín Glassworks Museum. You can also go to the Šumperk Museum to see an exhibition about Easter, or to the museum in Krnov for an unconventional exhibition The Playful World of Surprise Eggs. The Švagrov Centre for Environmental Education has prepared an event packed with spring fun and creativity for White Saturday. In Vernířovice you can expect baking, knitting pomlázek, egg dyeing, movement games and a self-service forest trail. Knitting of Easter pomlaki connected with horse riding on Sunday afternoon has been prepared for a change at the Viktoria Ranch in Šumperk. Most of the Jeseník bike parks promise adrenaline experiences. The Easter weekend is the start of the season in both bike parks in Koutec and Kopřivná. Of course, the hearties are also on the Rychlebské trails. And what about the gourmet experiences? Traditionally, you'll get your fill at Rejvíz. The Rejvíz guesthouse organises an Easter feast from Friday to Monday. However, other restaurants in Jesenik also offer Easter menus, such as the excellent restaurant of the Perk Hotel in Šumperk, the Lípa Restaurant in Lipová-lázní or the one in the Cvilín Hotel in Krnov. And since the weather forecast promises pleasant spring temperatures and sunshine, head out into the budding nature of Jeseník. Feel the new energy, the spring treasures in the grass and the woods: orsei, anemones, fantails, awakening insects, maybe even you will meet a purple maypole. Have a great Easter in our mountains! | |
