The picturesque ruins of Rabštejn Castle, whose myth is enhanced by the romantic legends of the local robber knights, is a popular excursion destination. Rabštejn Castle sits above the municipality of Bedřichov, approximately an hour’s distance from the mountain community of Skřítek.
The castle is situated on two high cliffs (25 and 35 m) and was the highest built castle in Moravia in its day. At present it can only be reached by ladders. The ascent, however, is definitely worth it as in clear weather one can enjoy a view of both the flatlands of Haná, as well as the mountain range the Hrubý Jeseník.
